Intelligence finds the way. Resilience holds the line. Performance shows in the numbers.

The best path,
for every message.

Country and carrier. Every number goes out on the route for its network.

The channel the phone has. RCS if it has it; if not, SMS.

The route that works right now. If one degrades, another one takes over.

Several routes per country. If one SMS route fails, the next one delivers.

Contact by contact. Phones without RCS, or where the RCS is not delivered, get the SMS.

The failed RCS is free. You pay only for the SMS that goes out.

Frequently
asked questions

What does intelligent routing do?
It decides how each message goes out: the route for the number's country and carrier, and the channel the contact can receive. You do not set it up per send.
What happens when RCS cannot be delivered?
The message goes out as SMS, one contact at a time. It happens when the phone has no RCS, when the carrier returns an error or when the RCS is not delivered.
Am I charged for the RCS that falls back?
No. The discarded RCS attempt is not charged. The SMS that goes out is billed under the SMS conditions.
Can I turn the SMS fallback off?
Yes, for a single send. It is on by default, and the switch sits between the RCS message and the SMS in the campaign's Message step.
What if my sender is not registered yet in a country?
On SMS we look for the best available route so the message still arrives, although the recipient may see a different sender. On RCS nothing goes out without an approved sender, except through the SMS fallback.

Every message,
on its best route.

  • Draft a campaign on RCS with SMS fallback
  • How many of my contacts get RCS, and how many fall back to SMS?
  • Which countries still need a registered sender?
  • In which of my markets is RCS worth it for this offer?
  • What happened to yesterday's messages that fell back to SMS?
